Our 2023 Annual and Sustainability Report summarises Vårgrønn’s growth in 2023. Throughout the year, we grew and matured our project pipeline while developing the organisational capabilities to deliver those projects.

Our 2023 highlights

  • Became a power producer: Dogger Bank delivered first power, our first project to reach this milestone.
  • Entered new partnerships and markets: We partnered with European Energy in the Baltics and Energia Renewables in Ireland.
  • Advanced pioneering large-scale floating wind projects: We signed exclusivity for seabed area to develop up to 1.9 GW in Scotland & prepared to submit application for Utsira Nord in Norway together with Equinor.
  • Opened a UK office: We established a strong UK team, cementing our presence in Europe’s largest offshore wind market.

  • Strengthened our competence: We more than doubled our team in 2023 and now have almost 40 people working across our offices in Stavanger, Oslo and London.

We are reporting with reference to the GRI Standard, the most-widely used standard for sustainability reporting globally.

We are committed to continuing to publish annual reports in forthcoming years, and we will work to further develop our sustainability reporting in the next reporting periods.
